I haven't had a giveaway in a few weeks and I just feel like having some fun, so I am giving away a premade template by Smitten Blog Design. It is the design they call "Autumn Letters" and is perfect for the fall season. I love it because it is simple and classy yet warm and inviting.

All you need to do to enter the giveaway is leave a comment telling me if you are current follower/subscriber or just someone passing through. This giveaway is a short one, ending tomorrow night, October 18th, at 9:00 PM EST. I will notify the winner via email and purchase the template and have the instructions sent to them.

The winner will have to install it herself, but the instructions are sent with the code for the template and are VERY easy to follow.

This little giveaway was such a fun thing to do, and so well received, that I decided to giveaway TWO of the templates! The winners are Adventures of a Somewhat Crunchy Mama and Zhongshan Road. Congratulations, ladies! As soon as Smitten Designs emails me the code for your templates, I will forward them on to you. New Free and Premade Templates

Lena at Simply Fabulous Blogger Templates has released some more beautiful, completely free templates. Simply to go her site and follow the instructions. Here are a couple I think are especially lovely.

Special Note: Blogger made some changes that have caused many designer's templates to be problematic when uploading. LeeLou believes that she has found a fix for the problem, in regards to her templates and the fix may work for other designer's templates as well. It is worth a try.

Check out this post and make the changes she recommends. This fix is for those who have been using free templates already and those trying to upload now. Hopefully it will get your template working for you.

Beautiful Premade Templates - Just $5!!

The last designer I showcased was Smitten Blog Designs and I was ready to showcase another designer this week until I discovered that today Smitten Blog Designs has just launched i.Smitten, a site dedicated to very affordable, beautiful premade blog templates.

Each blog templates at i.Smitten is just $5!

That price is perfect for the many mommy bloggers who are on a tight budget (who isn't these days). Since the price of the templates is next to nothing, if you choose to add on some extras like a signature or a button or two, you can still afford to do so.

To purchase a template, simply click "add to cart" under the template you want and pay via Paypal. Once you have paid, you are taken to your template, complete with instructions on how to install it.

I purchased "Just Happy" (for $5 of course) and within 5 minutes I had the template installed on a new blog I just started. Here is the result. It was amazingly simple!

I am very excited about i.Smitten and know of several friends I think would love these templates and the price.

Designer Showcase: Smitten Blog Designs

The designer being showcased today is Smitten Blog Designs. This studio is run by Oregon neighbors Kate and Heather and opened for business in August 2008. They design free, modern and original templates to liven up your blog. They have produced several templates that are sold for $10 or less (an incredible deal!) as well as adorable free templates.

They have a nice variety of premade templates for sale, but they are all "limited editions." Once a design has been purchased a certain number of times, Smitten Blog Designs retires it so that the templates aren't overused. So, if you see something you like, don't wait till later because it may not be there. And, to help their clients with the installation and other blog questions, they provide a wonderfully detailed tutorial.
